girls night out before goodbye

i guess we are just bored of western food
so choose to have Korean food tonight
at Yea Won ipoh garden east
somewhere around Aka Momiji i went 2 days earlier

side dishes

kimchi soup

fried glass noodles

pancake
basically they are taste good to me
i would say is good enough
because we hardly see Korean restaurant in Ipoh
there are a few
but mainly on Korean BBQ??
i guess so...hehe

we are the last customer in the shop
which they close at 10pm
but we still busy taking pictures up and down..lol
i guess the staff must be very angry with us..opps

so went to Frenz cafe for 2nd round
initially we only ordered 2 drinks which we are still full
ice lemon tea & matcha green tea spin
comment for Frenz cafe??
variety are kinda good
price might a little expensive
but taste ain't bad
but the staff and service.....herr herrm..
u get what i mean right??
yes,...thank you...=)
so continue our camwhore section
we are moving from one table to another
and then the 3rd one which is next to a mirror
haha....just wanna have fun
and this is our last day in Ipoh

Chooi Lian & I

on the right -- Sin Ling
who is going back to Perth on Friday

everyone is going back to our reality world
work and study
hmm,....gonna miss my girls so much

claypot udon

forgot the name for my order...lol
but it is something call egg, chicken with rice

this is another plan which we thought earlier
still thinking of choosing japanese food or korean food
so we use a coin to decide...lol
ya....sounds lame right??
just because we can't decide
so decided to have japanese food
at Aka Momiji
which located at Ipoh Garden East
those shop lot near the 24hrs Mcdonald
hmm,...how was it??
i would say not that fantastic
i will still prefer Waraku in Ipoh
more choices as well
but no harm giving it a try once
they might have something nicer which we did not order

ipoh dimsum

people who born in Ipoh
should know that how yummy is Ipoh dim sum
i can't tell what's the different between HK & Ipoh dimsum
they both are good i would say
might just a little different because of culture
but whoever are now away from Ipoh
will always craving for dim sum
so you will always see long queue during weekends & public holidays
and whenever we are back to hometown
usually that's what in our mind the 1st place
same goes to my holidays this month
plus 2 of my cousins are back too
which they were craving for since they know they are coming back
so we decided to have it this morning
we choose Kou Li at Ipoh Garden Ipoh

because there are only 3 of us
so we did not order as much
but the standard variety were there
"ha gao" "siu mai" "cha siu bao"

my cousin Kimo & lin lin
haha,...must be wondering the name sounds weird
this is what we use to call one another..hehe
everybody has a unique name
anyway i believe my friends who have been to Ipoh
gonna miss all these a lot
because they admit that Ipoh dimsum is really yummy too
so its not only what we said
Ipoh is also one of the heaven of food
just that not everybody knows about it
compare to Penang
Ipoh has their unique taste as well
"nga choi gei" "curry mee" "wanton mee"
there are lots more to mention
basically there are all about food in Ipoh
so unless you have a big stomach
or else you can't finish them in few days
so welcome to Ipoh
but im kind of stranger in Ipoh honestly
because i use to be a geek,..haha
i know nothing other than squash during school time
and i was away ever since i finish my secondary school
plus the changes here and there
i might not even know what's the name for certain area
haha,...i disgrace to people of Ipoh
i will try to find out more and intro to you guys in future
so forgive me k??
and give me some times to figure it out..hehe

7th FEB 10

a new Thai restaurant in Somerset 313
which i think is a nice deco resaturant which doesn't look like Thai restaurant

a very standard dish - sambal Kangkung
which might not too spicy for those who cant eat spicy food
and the kangkung is very fresh
very crispy to munch even without having rice

and this is Pineapple Fried Rice
with my favourite cashew nuts as side plating...hehe

a must to order when having Thai food
Seafood Tom Yum - yum yum.....
my favourite dish among three of them
did some shopping after having dinner at Flying Chilies
although there are only 3 dishes that we had ordered
but i guess that's more than enough for 2 person
which is me and Katherine
finally she manage to get her new clothes for CNY
and a new challenge for her
which is she ask my help to change her look
wahahhaha....sounds so expert.....
anyway it's just a sharing and discussion about fashions
because the limitation of time where the shops are going to close
we took train back to Tampines mall to yum cha
Coffee Club - a 'lau di fang' for us to high tea always
because they open 24 hours which we can chit chat till late night
since we have not sit down chit chat since Dec
really had a great time with Katherine tonight
thanks for the time spent and hope to see you soon =)

i'm tire actually but just too scare to receive call last minute
but thank God i sleep til lunch time on the day itself
for sure i still need to stay home another day
buy home my lunch and finish up the whole series in a day

HKG~04jan10

yeah!! we are back to HKG after SFO
time to shop this time
meeting up and heading down to the shopping street
saw this "gei dan zai" and curry fish ball stall
decided to have some,...their fish ball is very different from ours
is not as crispy as ours but is more chewy
and most importantly is the curry sauce...yum yum!!
walking down to the street
manage to get few clothes and discovered some cute stuffs
eye-ing on some items and may be back the next day
should get some rest after some walk
walk in to this dessert house "Hui Lau Shan"
they have got different style of dessert
and can tell that they like to use mango as ingredients
because you can see most of the choices are mango flavour

this is what i ordered
a set of mango blended ice with rice ball & carrot cake with XO sauce
but instead of trying their dessert
my main reason to have dessert this time is because i need to use toilet
waahhahaa....how can i talking about food and toilet together??....paiseh neh!!

after we finish walking this Granville Street
we decided to go Temple street which is one station away
saw this shop selling mee
we decide to have our dinner here
we ordered wanton soup noodle
look at the wanton...it's so big and numbers of prawns in it
fresh and crispy taste prawn....=p
while we enjoying our food
there is this couple came in and sit next to us
the guy use to talk very loudly and they are actually talking about us
they were curious what language we are speaking
and my colleague feels so umcomfortable
but i just pretend that i couldn't understand them....
the scene looks funny actually...lol
after we have finish our food
we walk down to the temple street and continue our shopping journey

this is Diana,....my accompany for the trip

while the rest of the crew went for KTV
we walk to the Avenue of Stars
which is only 10 minutes walk away from our hotel
nice weather with nice night view of Hong Kong
since i have not taken photos for the last few days
is time for me to have my photo taking section here...hehe

walking down the street by looking at the star's hand print on the floor
and you guess what??
we saw 2 cute guys,...woohoo....
i guess they were those photographer who offer to take picture for visitors
we ended our trip happily...=)

we have a plan to go "Tai Ze" and "Mong Kok" the second day
we have arrive Tai Ze around 10am to have our breakfast
we have choosen a local "cha chan teng"
and this is what i have-congee, "cheung fun" and milk tea
isn't it very localise??..
like what we get to see in movies
they always have congee and fried meehun for breakfast...hehe
this reatarant called "Dai Ga Lok"
it seems like a fast food restaurant for me
because we order in front of the cashier and pay
and queu for your food
some kind of self service too
ya,..after topping up our stomach
is time for us to 'chiong' for shopping
we actually looking for a street in Tai Ze but i were lost
but we are not that bad
we manage to walk from Tai Ze to Mong Kok
which is the street selling electronics thingy
since "Lui Yan Gai" is not open yet
so we started to look around that area
and you guess what??
we shop from 11am to around 4 or 5pm just at Mong Kok
and continue back at Granville Village nearby our hotel
to get stuffs we had eye-ing on the day before
finish everything by 7pm walk back and tabao some food
that's the end of my Hong Kong trip
my very first Hong Kong trip
i had fun, i love the place,.........
and the main thing is i love their shops
at least they sell fashions which is quite my style
and it is very fashionable...hope i get to go there again soon....
